Panoramic dental radiograph (OPG)

A panoramic scan shows both jaws, teeth, roots, and surrounding structures in a single two-dimensional image. It is used as a diagnostic overview for treatment planning, monitoring tooth eruption, or assessing surgical findings.

The entire dentition in one image — teeth, jaws, joints and cavities.

Quick examination — scanning takes only a few seconds.

Painless — the examination is non-invasive and does not require contact with the teeth.

More accurate planning — imaging helps with surgery, implantation, and prosthetics.

Stages of work

01 — Consultation and initial examination

02 — Removal of metal objects in the head and neck area

03 — Precise adjustment of the head position in the device

04 — Short panoramic scan of both jaws

05 — Image quality control and professional evaluation by a doctor

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Remove glasses, earrings, necklaces, and removable dentures before the scan.
  • Always disclose any possible or confirmed pregnancy before the X-ray.
  • Remain still during the scan and follow the instructions of the staff.
  • Bring older scans and available medical documentation to the scan.

Treatment result

Before treatment

A single clinical examination may not show all the teeth, roots, joints, and surrounding structures at once.

After treatment

One panoramic image provides an overview of both jaws for further planning.
